I’m Ruchira Maniar, an artist residing in Pune, India. Painting has been a constant companion in my life, but it’s only in the past decade that I delved deeper into this world, thanks to the unique opportunity that the pandemic presented.

I draw abundant inspiration for my paintings from the ever-changing beauty of nature, whether it’s the beauty of a sunset, the delicate fragility of a bloom, or the vibrant expanse of a lush green meadow.

Beyond the allure of nature, I’m also drawn to the mystical and supernatural. From portraying sacred places like Kedarnath temple to crafting enigmatic figures like Buddha, I love to infuse a touch of mystique into my work.

My artistic journey is a diverse one, swinging between the structured realism of the tangible world and the abstract. I try to explore new techniques and styles, and love to play around with colours.
